The Secret of My Success
In Latin the word means 'to dare'. This word is so critical to your success and it's a common
attribute of the most successful people in the world. Like whom you ask? Donald Trump, Tiger Woods, Meg Whitman, Steve Jobs
and tons of others. You want more? Ok. Warren Buffet, Derek Jeter, Julia Roberts and others. Let me tell you why I'm sharing this point with you today
and why it can help you quickly reach your goals and dreams. I just finished up a book called 'Against The Gods'. It was a good book, but a little over my head. It was
about science, statistics, and math, interesting, but
not a 'must read'. Let me share with you the subtitle to the book and why
it caught my attention. The subtitle is: The Remarkable Story Of Risk Yes, RISK. The word RISK in Latin means 'to dare' and here's
my challenge to you this week. You ready? Seriously, only continue reading if you're ready to SAY YES
and TAKE Action. Ok, onward. First, one of my early mentors shared with me a quote that I've
always kept by my side because it's so powerful. (write this
down) 'Nothing great has ever been accomplished without
stretching yourself.' YES. Stretching yourself. But even more important is the work RISK and here's why. This week is a call for you to go BEYOND anything you've
done in the past. This week is a call to risk, more importantly, TO DARE. DARE to stretch yourself, dare to live up to your greatest
potential, dare to be more powerful, DARE to be stronger,
dare to UNLEASH YOUR GREATNESS. Here's your challenge. It's not complex, but--oh boy--if you can follow through your
life will incredibly change. ***You need to do ONE THING each day this week
that you don't want to do. Why? Because YOU only grow by doing the things you don't want to do. DARE to go against everyone's natural tendency to put things off
till 'tomorrow'. FLEX your SUCCESS MUSCLES and DARE to be great. Ask yourself: What is 1 thing that I don't want to do today, but if I did it,
it would move my life and/or business forward? Then write it down and START today. You can be greater then you've EVER imagined and it starts by
daring and risking yourself to be more. Remember, progress is always about going from awkward

The Secret Key (Part 1): An Overwhelming Purpose
Imagine that you are in a dimly-lit room. You don't know how you ended up here, but you are now in it and you are trying to find your way out of it. You see a door to your right side and walk up towards it. Right before your eyes, the top corner of the door starts to get blurry and you can see something like letters starting to materialize. It's not clear at first, but suddenly the words are sharp and vivid and it reads "SUCCESS". Pushing the door open doesn't work and it feels like it's stuck. You try to push it some more and it still doesn't open. You start to move your hands on the door to see whether there is a knob that you can turn. As you are feeling your way on the door, you realize that there is a lock. Success is something you truly want to achieve and it's right there on the other side of the door. You now need the key. Panic sets in and you frantically crawl around the room looking for the key to this door you need to get through. After what seems like hours you sit down in the corner mourning your misfortune. Reaching into your pocket for your handkerchief to wipe off your sweat, you feel something in your pocket. It feels like a?.. Yes! Yes! It is the key! You are now secure and the only thing between you and success is the action that you need to take to put the key into the lock, turning it, and then walking through the door.

When most of us are asked the most important possession in our lives, we tend to look at the big stuffs we have acquired over the years. We easily point to our cars, mansions and even the money we have being able to amass in large quantity. To us, these are the things that make our lives go smoothly. Many people are scared to write down what they want because they think they have to commit themselves. To many, Success frightens them. So if you want to be successful in life you have to write down your goals and dreams. Ask yourself what things you want in life. (e.g) health, wealth and happiness. Write each goals on a sheet of paper. Next you need to ask yourself what is a reasonable time to achieve those goals. Goals should be Short term, Intermediate and long term. Next ask yourself what you have to do to achieve those goals. What new skills you have to learn or acquire, what character traits to develop and people you have to role model.
